So who do you think will be the presidential nominees for the 2 major parties? It seems to be Hillary in the box seat, followed by Bernie Sanders for the Democrats, and for the Republicans...well, Cruz won the Iowa Caucus, but it could be anyone (Trump, Carson, Rubio).

Be interesting to see what happens if Trump becomes president.

This is gonna be quite an interesting presidential election considering how popular non-establishment candidates like Trump, Cruz and Sanders are. I guess Americans are getting sick of having a two party system where both candidates are basically the same, especially considering Obama's promise of radical 'change' compared to his actual presidential record. Meanwhile, the establishment Republican backers seem to be doing their best to vilify Cruz and Trump while promoting Rubio.

Be interesting to see what happens if Trump becomes president.

Yes it would be interesting, and honestly I think the majority of Trump's outrageous statements are just attention seeking comments. And in reality if he becomes President, it's unlikely that he'll be able to 'build a wall with Mexico and make them pay for it'.

I watched the video, and was amazed at the  ratio of dislikes to likes.
Could someone please explain to me why so many people disliked it? I'm not joking, I genuinely don't understand.
Thanks. :)

 Predictions:

Marco Rubio will be the Republican nominee.

Hillary Clinton will be the Democratic nominee.

General election would be extremely close. It really depends on how well the economy continues to recover under Obama's policies I think.

I think that's kinda a generalisation considering how Politically Correct many US colleges have become recently as well as how much outrage there has been over Trump's comments across his campaign.
Instead the number of dislikes is probably because of the swearing, Hitler comparison and generally how crude and distasteful this ad is even for people who dislike Trump.

It is obviously a generalisation but I think it's fairly accurate to say that 'free speech' is a favourite poster child of those who support or share Trump's opinions and the concept as a whole brings out a stubborn streak in people. I would be shocked if the total number of dislikes is because people are actually offended by the swearing or content, rather than by viewers being riled up when told they're wrong.

Not sure what colleges have to do with it but it's late and I may have misunderstood that.

Trump won't become President, he'd get slaughtered by Clinton in the general election, and that's if he wins the nomination (which isn't looking likely).

Last night was a caucus - an event where parties decide who their nominee is. Each state hosts one (or a primary). Iowa goes first - they have relatively little say, but because they're first, they can make or break campaigns. Trump will probably win NH and SC, but it's hard to see him actually winning the nomination.

Predictions:

Marco Rubio will be the Republican nominee.

Hillary Clinton will be the Democratic nominee.

General election would be extremely close. It really depends on how well the economy continues to recover under Obama's policies I think.

Yep, agree with this. 90%+ certainty on Clinton (seriously, unless there's a major, unheard of scandal prior to June, she'll be the nominee). Much less certain on Rubio, but he's the only 'moderate' (note scare quotes) candidate who actually went well in Iowa.

NH will be interesting for the GOP - a good showing there for Rubio will cement his status as the 'establishment frontrunner'. That said, there's a long and gruelling primary season ahead for everyone on the GOP side. This will play well for Clinton (a mirror of 2008, when a brutal Democrat primary season played well for the Republicans!)

The electoral (vote) math is getting pretty challenging for Republicans these days. Rubio will be able to pick up swing states that Obama won in 2012, but it's hard to see him making up the 60 odd votes needed to win. Plus, he's largely an untested commodity, recall what happened when a virtual unknown was dropped into a Presidential ticket in 2008...

This map is, in my opinion the worst case scenario for a Democratic candidate. It's certainly very close, but it still (narrowly) gets them over the line. I'd probably say that VA would go blue as well, FL would go red if Rubio's the nominee, OH, who knows.

I mean, the video is just bad and annoying, you could make the same arguments and bring up the same points as that video and not suffer the backlash. It was the presentation of the points, to be frank I can't go past the first 5 seconds of that video... cringe.
I agree with most things they say but jesus they need to tone down the obnoxiousness.

Ah, ok, I see. I saw the other one the group made about feminism and could see why people disliked that, but I was confused about this video. I assumed that kids swearing couldn't be the only reason for so many people to dislike the video.
Thanks! :)
