Hi guys, my name is Caroline. Forget about my stupid username..I looked through all the 3U math in yr 11 and find it's kind of easy. Should I keep practice or start to look at 4U? I think I'm kind of worried about 4U math cause all my friends are keep telling me that 4U math are bloody hard works. If I'm going to start looking 4U math what topic should I start with? Or should I just go with the syllabus dot points?

Hi!
I'm planning to do 4U maths for HSC aswell. I did get a textbook and am having a look through the topics and trying some questions during these holidays :)
My maths tutor said that if you have done very well in the Extension 1 Preliminary course, you should definitly do 4U maths for the HSC. Yes- 4U maths is very hard, but it also scales INCREDIBLY well.

Katya :)

Good on you for working ahead!! If you have a love for Mathematics (and aren't doing 4U just for the scaling effects), then 4U is a really rewarding course. Remember to stop by our Extension 2 question thread to get some help if you need it! :)

Helloooo, just found this place :D

Feeling the stress already with 3 weeks left until first assessment periods for all my subjects. Have three 2U Eng tasks this term already and  History Ext proposal to do. Grateful that stress propels me to work a lot harder, otherwise I'd probably fall behind some of my super hard-working friends

Just been grinding away at maths and pushing chem and bio aside for now. It's hard to find motivation to do a tonne of chem/bio theory papers because they're only weighted  5% for this assessment block ://

Feels... I've been so busy this semester, anything worth less than 10% was a "wing it" scenario ... Just thank your lucky stars you aren't at uni with quizzes worth 6%, or even 1% at a time ;)

Just do as many as you need. Pretty much as you implied it's not like the trials where the weightings are spiked much more.

Haha a big aim for these holidays is to get a better idea of what I actually want to do at uni. Kinda sucks studying without a clear aim in mind :P
