LOL yeah, I'm also worried that I'm gonna be really dumb and just be at the bottom of the class.

I doubt you guys would be at the bottom of the class. As long as you're not failing (cough mathsss and english cough) you'll be fine. If I were to give you advice, don't be bummed out by your results at the start. Remember that the tests are much harder than what you're use to. Improvement is the key.

'If your child’s surname starts with the letter A to the letter L, your information session runs between 6:30pm and 7:45pm

If your child’s surname starts with the letter M to the letter Z, your information session runs between 8:00pm and 9:30pm."

Which one are you guys attending for the info night?
I'm the second one..but hopefully I can actually meet you guys, even though it would be full on crowded :D

At this point, I'm just really glad that I made it into a school that specialises in STEM :DD

Hi guys
I had a maths doubt
Hope you can help me :D :D :D :D
Consider the curve= x+1/x. The tangent line to the curve y=f(x) at x=1/2 and the normal line to the curve y=f(x) at x=-1/4 intersect at angle cos theta. Find the acute angle version of cos theta.

That's a pretty difficult question. I'd do it by finding the gradients of these lines and using the cosine rule to find cosine of the angle between them

costheta is just a variable for the acute angle

I still don't understand what you're saying. Were you able to solve the question with my explanation?

Sorry I thought the question was asking to find the value of cos(theta). In that case you'd take then arctan of both of the gradients. Then subtract one from the other. It should be like arctan(1/15)-arctan(-3) which is 75.4 degrees

Will JMSS allow us to do Chinese(Unit 3&4) at year 10?

3/4 at year 10?? yeeks. I don't know, but I highly doubt it, even if it's out of school. It'd be something to ask at the info night though!
is anyone else here planning on doing a language for vce?

I know, but I passed unit1 and halfway through unit2 already, if I have to wait for another year or two, it will just be a waste of time. Hopefully they allow me to do unit3&4 next year(fingers crossed)
