Hi Guys,

can someone please explain what this means to me?

Subject bonus
A study score of 25 in any Humanities, Legal Studies or Psychology equals 4 aggregate points per study. A study score of 20 in any LOTE equals 4 aggregate points per study. Overall maximum of 12 points.

Thanks

It means this particular Uni will add points to your aggregate score, resulting in an overall higher ATAR (when that particular Uni consider you). http://vtac.edu.au/files/pdf/Aggregate-ATAR-2016.pdf you can use this as a guide for how much your ATAR will increase. So if you got a raw score of at least 25   in hums subject/20 in LOTE subject, they'll add 4 aggregate points (your current aggregate can be found in your VTAC account), but they only add a maximum of 12 (if you did more than 3 hums/LOTE subjects.

For example, if your aggregate was 148.97 (giving you ATAR of 85), but you score 20 in a language and 25 in 2 humanities subjects (or higher of course), your aggregate would become 160.97, giving you an ATAR of 90.95 when this particular Uni consider your application. Hope that helped :)
