Why is the cutoff for Law at ANU so low (compared to like Monash)
Monash is around 99 and ANU is 95
I know ANU is ranked as the number 1 university in Australia but I'm just interested as to why the score for Law isn't that high at the best university in Australia, compared to others

Bachelor of Actuarial Studies alone in ANU needs an enter of 95

Bachelor of Law/Actuarial = also 95

same with all double degrees involving law (commerce, science, arts) = 95!!!!

It seems to good to be true  ;)

It's because there are less people in Canberra or less people willing to go to Canberra.

CSIRO isn't part of ANU. And it's not just in terms of research; it's overall. Admittedly one of the main reasons why it's no. 1 is its research. But a Law or Actuarial degree from ANU is just as prestigious as one from UMelb or USyd.

In any case, Eriny and I are both doing research degrees ;)
