Chances are you wont either, but who cares? SO, what kind of results would you need at melbourne uni (undergrad) to get into post-grad law?

Yeah that was it...*wink wink*. No i was confused because i have seen documents that say melbourne, then UNSW or the top sydney uni were the number 1&2 unis...I can't really remember where.. Also how does a UWA law degree stack up against UoM and Monash? FINALLY how hard is it to be chosen to transfer from a particular course into law at monash?

Ummm just looked at ANU website. SO lemme get this right, if i get an ENTER of 95.30 for example, i would not be excepted into Melbourne, but could do Law at ANU. Which supposedly is the most prestigious. HOW DOES THIS MAKE SENSE!?
ANU cutoffs aren't based on demand like UMelb and Monash cutoffs; they're fixed every year - the entry requirement for Law hasn't changed for years. Unfortunately students in the last few years have realised how beneficial this is, so lots more undergrads are coming to ANU than there used to be. As a result, accommodation is now at maximum capacity...

But yeah, the point is that ANU may have lower ENTER cutoffs than UMelb or USyd, but is actually a better university. Shock horror.

Not shock horror...party time! Nah, ANU sounds enticing..however for no apparent reason i was just looking at photos and it seems....well the buildings look dodgy. Interpret that how you want

?

ANU has a beautiful campus. Most of the buildings aren't ugly at all, though of course some aren't great...

there is no guarantee for JD in UoM even if you get 99.95>> you still have to sit the LSAT, do the interview and of course the long application essay expressing your interest, also CV etc..

that really is the depressing thing...however im pretty sure if you get 99 and average 75% on your uni stuff your guaranteed a spot, likewise if you get 99.90/5, guaranteed a CSP spot.

wasn't it 96.5 in 2006? may have been 2005 or 2004, but I'm positive at one stage - it was 96.5

And apprently its going up this year due to increased applications (I read a thread on BoS by some ANU moderator =/)

could have been...

There was an email a week or two ago from the Vice-Chancellor of ANU saying demand at ANU had increased even more this year than last year, so I suppose there's a chance that the entrance requirement might increase. Don't remember reading that in the email though.

Edit: just read the post on BoS. I know the guy who wrote it actually, he's at my college. Anyway, I disagree with him that they'll actually raise it - it's too late in the year to be changing a pretty fixed policy like that.

Lol, I want to apply for ANU now... I guess it's too late now, huh?

Lol, so if I get into Law at Vic uni (worst to worst) and kill the marks (really good marks in everything), would I be able to transfer to Monash law after one year? This is probably my only option now...
