How can I maximise my physics sac results?

Hi, I'm a year 10 student doing units 1/2 physics and math methods. In regards to physics however, lately I've been getting scores of around 87%-90% in my sacs. I'm not too happy about this because I lose marks worth 4% each by doing really stupid mistakes. Lol for example, there was a question where I needed to use ∆v=v+u but instead I wrote ∆v=v-u which cost me the whole question.
Is there anyway where I can stop myself from making these really dumb mistakes? Any strategies?
Thanks a lot :D

Hey!
I used to track mistakes that I'd make in practice, in a mistake logbook. I reviewed this regularly, and made notes where my mistakes were most common.

This might be a tool you might want to use in the future, if it sounds up your alley! :)

Hope this helps! :)

With stupid mistakes (urgh god they're annoying) my strategy is to check whether the answer I got makes sense after doing the question. Eg usually if I made some careless mistake with calculations I'd end up with an answer that seems a bit 'off' which is a red flag for me to check my working.
