Posting from the bus, so apologies for this limited OP. But, the Andrews Government today announced there will soon be a whole host of free TAFE courses in Victoria.

I find this extremely exciting. What are others' thoughts?

Love it.

I personally know many students who will benefit from this. I think it's a fantastic initiative designed to target those who want applied/hands-on training, rather than an academic one. Disadvantaged students who perhaps couldn't afford further training can now learn post-school with the monetary pressures removed.

I think sometimes we forget that not everybody wants to/or is able to go to university for whatever reason, so it's great to see that they're addressing TAFE accessibility.

... and I am definitely an advocate for vocational ed!
