Every time something on AN says that a particular way of studying or whatever is only one possible way I smile a little. Advice saying ‘you must do this or you’ll fail’ really shits me, and I love that AN doesn’t do that <3

It's a bit late for October MOTM nominations but it's certainly not only MOTMs that make valuable contributions!

The many many contributions to AN by users this month certainly are little gems :)

Whilst I have every reason to be skeptical about these things, articles like this give me hope.

It's in Chinese and like Google chrome can translate it for you but basically (if you're not bothered), but basically in China they've been investigating in this drug GV-971 and its impact on Alzheimer's. There's a few articles on Google outlining its success but supposedly its effect has been reasonably profound on preventing said dementia (given that we hardly have any knowledge on Alzheimer's rn). It's been on China's news and is apparently set for being sold (at pharmacies surely...) soon.

Really pleasing for me because whilst obviously it's too late now, considering my grandma has had Alzheimer's for around 7-10 years now it gives promise that we might be able to do something about this disease.
