What did everyone get for the probability question 3 with the bias coin question.

I got 4/9 for3a but I’m not sure if this is correct
This is what I did
Pr(TTT)= 0.5*0.5*2/3=1/6
Therefore Pr(Head)= 1-1/6=5/6.
I thought he is asking for head only so it could be any combination except three tails

For the quartic, would f(x)=x^2(x-1)(x+1) still be acceptable for one mark or does it need to be simplified to x^2(x^2-1)?
did you miss the x-axis dilation factor? that would lose you a mark if anything. I don’t think (x+1)(x-1) should lose you anything. hoping so at least I did the same thing

I literally feel the exact same way!!!! I felt confident during reading time and then stuffed up big time. I dont think I did any of the domian and range questions right, stuffed up the quartic (I paniced) and did do the diff right for the area question (paniced again)
+1. Feel exactly the same way. Felt confident in reading time and then is was like BOOM. My mind was all over the place and just dropped to many marks. At the moment I’m hoping for around a 31-33/40. I feel like the cur off for an A+ will be around 32-34, as it was a very difficult exam

oh thatll be good. I'm hoping I managed a 30/40 which will hopefully be an A at least. Now to prepare for tomorrow - I hope its not too hard judging the level of difficulty for this.

(17/6)*(5/6)^11? That's what I got because it had to be in that form

Was the dilation factor -4/3?

Was the dilation factor -4/3?
If you are talking about the quartic, it was like -4x^2(x+1)(x-1)
And this is 100% correct

I doubt the cut-off would be anything less than 34, given that last year's exam 1 was as, if not, more difficult than this years and the cut-off for last year was 34

What was the range
was it (Log( E, 8 ) , Log[E,4]) union (log[E,4] to infinity)?
