17 days till Aussie open!!!
I'm hoping Federer can take out his 14th Grand Slam title to equal out Pete Sampras' record which is also 14 grand slams.
Anyone going? I'm going to the rod laver day session on Day 2. Can't wait!!! It's going be awesome :D

Hopefully Federer doesnt win, and Rafael Nadal dominates the whole tournment. Looking forward to seeing Gaël Monfils play.

Yes, who can forget the Aus Open. I highly doubt Federer winning it again. The game is slowly revolutionising beyond his game, and as awesome as he was, i think the newer and more physical players will begin to dominate. So my money is in a smokey. Nadal will come close, dont think he'll finish it. Safin (if his gonna come) will be there deep, and i rekon, my ultimate smokey is james Blake or baghdatis (if his coming). Hewit to finish his tournament in the first week- he has no skill to go with the rest. Oh and Jo Songa, to not even feature in the second week.

Now, yes i will be there...first few days i think.

There every day first week :)

Hewitt wont even make 3rd round.

Feds might come back strong after him having glandular fever last year.

I'm a Federer fan but he probably won't win this year.

Nadal will probably come out top but I can't stand his knee-length shorts :P

There's a first for everything mate, and nadal WILL win a Hard court major very soon. You can't honestly believe he wont. Nadal will win the Aus Open within the next 4 years, if not this year. His dynamic game is one to be admired, and if you cant see that, then you're oblivious. The only reason i didnt back him this year, is because there is speculation of an ankle injury. Also, just thought id mention, nadal was going to make the US finals, had it not been that tight tiebreaker. And his def not just a Clay man, becuase he won Wimbledon last year. and made the semi-finals of Aus last year aswell (when he ran into a hot jo-songa).

So my prediction: nadal will win a HC major this year

Nadal did win the Beijing Olympics Men's singles which can be considered as a HC major. I'm not too sure if he can take out the Aussie Open this year as he struggled in the US Open, which he lost to Andy Murray and pulled out of Shanghai Masters due to his knee injury. This may affect his "A grade" performance. I'm putting my money on Djokovic, but more on Federer. Djokovic was pretty strong during the end of the season last year in which he took out the Masters but he has never reach the consistency in winning more than 1 consecutive slams/titles. If Nadal faces Murray in the draws which is inevitable, I dare say Federer will triumph and win the Aussie Slam.
