Haha hopefully.... Either they walked around in their highschool groups which doesn't really make it easy to break into them or just... walk around on their own and stare at the pavement.

I tried talking to people... hopefully oweek will be better

Information session?!?! D= What?!?!

Where did you guys get the info about the information sessions????
on the offer letter as well as on Monash website

Hmmm... can you show me where on the Monash website it lists the information sessions? I can't seem to find it, plus, my offer letter only states the enrolment day... does not mention anything about an information session... =S

EDIT: I have also yet to receive any official letter from Monash Uni.... =/ Only received the VTAC offer letter....

Yeah sure :)
On the website, http://www.monash.edu.au/ , under Quicklinks, it tells you the Orientation Date
You know the info session from your offer letter: http://img593.imageshack.us/img593/5218/infosess.jpg

Apparently, Monash doesn't send out letters anymore, so you'll just have the VTAC one.

Also, not all courses have an information session. My course didn't.

2009-2010: VET Multimedia | Methods CAS | English | Legal Sudies | National Politics | Accounting | VET IT

2011-2013: BBIS at Monash - IBL Stream

Semester 1: Principles of Accounting & Finance | Computer Programming | Business Information Analysis | Intro. to Business Information Systems

I'm the blonde, white girl too - I know how your friend feels.

This happens to me all the time, especially now that I'm in third year (and the only people in accounting class are people actually majoring in it, not because it's a compulsory first year unit). Your friend can easily work this to her advantage though - it is actually an advantage to be the blonde, white girl doing accounting. Tutors and lecturers will remember her easily, because she stands out... makes it really easy to get participation marks.

Oh, fun fact: Mid-year orientation in 2008, I was the only Australian girl there for buseco's faculty orientation.

But what that ultimately mean is you can't skip class without getting noticed.
