Don't listen to them; engineering at Melbourne is very good.

For detailed information about engineering at Melbourne, read my posts in these threads:

Which type of engineering are you planning to do, by the way?

For environmental engineering, I'd say yeah, they are probably very similar. Environments is definitely the best choice for you if you want to do environmental engineering - much more so than BEng or BSci. :)

apparently, Monash has the best facilities.
also matrue course

and RMIT has the longest experience of teaching Engineering.
RMIT has a campus somewhere at country side of melbourne, which has also got good facilities.

Where Melboune Uni, they dont really have any facilities for Engineering.
And Melbourne Uni only concentrates on book theory studies.

sorry my bad

it seems like  I am wrong

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Yeahno.

The entire building full of three floors of engineering design labs, 5-6 other buildings entirely dedicated to different fields of engineering, and compulsory 3 hour practical engineering workshops per week in every engineering subject all say hi. ;)

Synchrotron my arse, lol.

I see, so rumors were wrong?

its funny that during the open day, the prof comfirmed all what rumor said about to be true.

emmm...

to be honest, I'm confused now

a professor from melb uni @ melb unis open day?? i highly doubt that.

and melb uni is the oldest engineering faculty in australia. wiki says it first started teaching students in 1861, rmit was only formed 26 years later.

Wouldn't say they're the same, but both are definitely very good. Pick whichever one appeals the most to you, as if they were sporting teams. :P
