Cant find it in the book anywhere however have seen it in many practice exams

Yep. The relevant dot point in the study design is role of the hippocampus and temporal lobe, so the amygdala is examinable as it is within the temporal lobe.
The amygdala is used in the formation of procedural memories (as is the cerebellum), the emotional content of episodic memories and is used as a fear mediator. People with a damaged amygdala feel no fear. There's not a huge amount of information on it
