I did it for the pussy

bitches love mathematicians

For some reason, I found that hilarious, even though I should be offended.
And correction, bitches love intelligent and somewhat socially awkward men. (Oh shit, not this again)

*looks at kennybhoy*

anyway - have a good read through the VTAC guide and/or uni websites and have a rough idea of what you may like to do and set that as the 'ATAR I need to (at least) achieve'. Now use that as your goal for the whole year and when shit gets tough just remember 'your goal' and never let it get out of sight~ *farts out inspirational glitter*

Its simple. Either ....

a) Procrastinate your procrastination.

or

b) Think of all those bitc**es who were horrible to you in school and resolve to kick the flying shit out of them in VCE.

Seemed to work for me :)
I wanna be the very best, like no-one ever was. DUN DUN DUN.

Sometimes you need a bit of time to yourself, when i found myself procrastinating i would just take a break from study/hw and watch tv, go for a run, check fb etc. After which you will feel refreshed and you can hit the books again.
But you dont need to be cnostantly studying - well i dont think so anyway. So dont feel guilty if youre not studying.

+1 This is the right kind of thinking. Plus you work better and feel better if you gave yourself the break and you feel as if it was ok, you don't feel guilty about it and so you are able to work freely and more efficiently than if you are feeling guilty about "wasting time" (the break is not a waste of time, it is shall we say ....compulsory).

This.
Though I probably wouldn't word it that way...

But yeah, mostly agree with Romperait. I never got it under control, I just learnt to accept that I would forever be staying up til 4am doing last minute homework...

If I tried to check FB as a short break I always ended up on it for multiple hours reading up on what I missed out on whilst studying. Yeah, I pretty much had no self control...

Friendly competition, personal aspirations and the simple fact that 13years comes down to four digits; might as well make it good (:

For me it's mostly the desire to get into my course and maybe get a scholarship :).

Friendly competition, personal aspirations and the simple fact that 13years comes down to four digits; might as well make it good (:

I disagree. 4 digits get you into Uni, it's not what school comes down to... if you honestly think 13 years of education is all for a uni entrance then you've probably wasted your time at school.

?? this isn't a thread about the purpose of school but how to keep motivated. In the end school results in 4 digits - on the way there are many other things to learn but the product is what is called the ATAR; it "sums up your education".
