For subjects without any tute participation marks, will they let you just rock up to a different tute without any sort of formal process? (3rd year commerce if that helps)

depends on the tutor. alot of them still walk around the class and mark the roll. alot of lecturers and tutors do it so if you end up just failing and plea to them for a pass they look to see if you went to every tute or if your a bludger and if you went alot they sometimes bump you up to a 50 from a 49.
you should go to the one you are scheduled to if you can because it is really awkward if they do the roll and find out your not in their tute. worst case you can just tell them you cant go to your original one for whatever reason and wanna move to theirs and see what they say

Did anyone do PATH30001 in 2016? The reviews in 2015 and 2014 weren't so positive so was wondering if it had improved for 2016 lol..
Pls do not send me a pm about Aspire applications. The process has vastly changed since I applied.

I haven't done it, but everyone I know who's done path has loved it. It's certainly not for some people, but if you like path you should find this subject OK. Also reasonably sure that most path subjects are reasonably easy (that seems to be the consensus anyway). If you're thinking of doing med it'd be great to have a path background (more so than anat and phys tbh).

Perhaps nothing is more irritating than when a subject is shown as planned in the sws timetable and you work out a lovely timetable, and then on the actual day of registration, the class has mysteriously disappeared from registration options and you're forced to go to uni for a 1 hour class. I hate class registration so much  >:(

Dunno how this happened, but basically I'm only registered for 1 lecture out of 2 for one of my commerce subjects. When I try to register for the other one, I get this error message:

Error

You have already registered in another class for Study Package 'ECON20002' Activity '1'.

Lecture 2 of stream 1 is full, while lecture 1 of stream 2 is full. I dunno how, but I've got to manage to register across two different streams when the system won't let me. Any ideas?

To everyone with registration experience, is it hard to get the classes you want? (Even if you've fully planned your timetable and get there 10 on the dot). I'm starting to get really worried that it won't let me in when it opens :/

Yes I missed out on all the times I wanted even though I got in at 10am on the dot due to computer lag. Make sure you plan for contingencies :)

Anyone know if there's any way to preview subjects, such as video of a couple lessons? Undecided between Calc 2 and Accelerated Maths 1 (First year uni student) and I think this might help.
Thanks :)

Unless you reeeeaaaaally like math, or it's a pre-req for something, I'd avoid AM1.

Had anyone taken PHIL10002 Philosophy The Big Questions before? The overview of this subject sounds very intriguing but will the concepts be too abstract?
