Too early to start Probability?

Hey guys, I've been working far ahead during Mathematical Methods CAS this year and currently I am beginning probability having finished all textbook questions from prior topics. I'm not finding it too hard but was just wondering if I should continue to work ahead or go back and enhance my knowledge in the other areas of study such as Calculus by completing questions from checkpoints, A+ notes etc. Will I quickly forget the skills of the other areas of study? Or is it more beneficial to complete probability so I can begin practice exams? Any advice would be appreciated.

My personal opinion is that you should continue on with probability. It doesn't take too long to complete and you'll start to build a foundation up in that area of study. By the time you finish probability,  you should still have an adequate amount of time to revise on calculus before a SAC.  Then you can work through external resources to build on the understanding,  and better yet once probability is taught in class,  it'll almost be like revision for you.
It's definitely very early in the year,  but because you have the time and motivation you may as well get a start on the concepts.

A bit late coming in, but my opinion is:

While continuing on to probability can't hurt (which I'd definitely encourage - probability was my favourite AoS!), just note that continuous probability actually requires that you understand integration and finding the area beneath curves. So, if you think that maybe you could work on your calculus ability, I'd suggest doing that before you continue on to continuous. Otherwise, feel free to keep moving through!
