I have a job interview on Saturday for Muffin Break. It's nice to finally have someone to give me a chance (even if it is just to meet me)
Really nervous for it.

Remember those feels haha
Anyway, honestly whether you do or do not get the job, I personally found that the interview itself was a great experience. Go with the attitude of I'm only here for the experience and getting the job is a bonus ! Good luck :)

No, not so far :'(
I did get a call from Gloria Jeans though on Thursday asking for an interview but I am going overseas and couldn't make it. They told me to ring back when I come back but I think that window has been closed now :(

Oh well, just gotta keep reminding myself that everything happens for a reason !

Yep I got one, but only because of someone I know who works there. It's a tough reality... no one seems to care that I have almost three years of experience in retail as a supervisor/occasional manager... it's just that they can hire 15-year-olds for half the price  :-\ :-\ So yeah, I'll be at work tomorrow when offers come out. I'm guaranteed entry, just hoping for a scholarship...

I thought scholarships were handed out on the same day results were released?

They are (:

But there are plenty more still to come. For starters tomorrow the course specific ones are released for obvious reasons, and the residential scholarships will follow in a few days once they know who will be staying at the campus/studying at each uni etc.
Also the scholarships already awarded in some cases are reallocated. Again, obviously not the ATAR based ones, but the rest are back up for grabs once people decline certain uni's.

According to VTAC, scholarships can be awarded up until the 30th of March so don't stress yet, there's plenty of time left (:

Reading through these posts, I'm having similar issues.  And not just the anticipation for offers (which is anyone's guess if I'll get in), but jobs.

How are you fellow post-12ers getting references?
That's the one thing that's been holding me back for a while...
English [ ]  Further Mathematics [ ]  IT Applications [ ]  Sociology [ ]  Legal Studies [ ]

Expecting an ATAR between 40 and 60.

I used my 'chill' teacher in Y12 (AKA my further teacher) as a Personal reference, and my work experience employer as a business reference.

Also, can anyone confirm if the inspect element trick to finding out your course offer is true?

I was lucky enough to get a part time job the first time I applied, at age 14 9 months. So I kept it all the way through, taking a not so appreciated 6 months off for exams but otherwise I found it quite manageable. But, the day I go for a new job I am pretty screwed because I never got a teacher as a reference (except the year 10 teacher I used to get this job, which wouldn't really count) and have no way to contact any of them!Good luck with the jobs though, I am sure something will come along soon ;D

As for the inspect element, I refuse to believe it is legit. VTAC come up with their dates and times and I presume they will have taken measures to avoid leaks considering the High Achievers leak already. It's less than 24 hours away now, I'm sure we can all wait! (:
