What types of questions did they ask for the maths and numerical tests? Were they easy but time consuming or hard overall?

So, i took the Year 10 exam for entry into year 11 (yr 11 entry) for EBS (another science school) and they tested Year 10 stuff for Maths, (the highest level maths being basic logarithms like 5^3=125... express that in terms of log.) I took the exam of 25th of July (4 days ago)

Here's a link to a blog which lists all the stuff y'all need to know prior to the exam...
https://www.jaycetutoring.com/blogs/selective-school-tutoring-victoria/jmssec

having taken the year 11 entry exam, I can say FOR SURE that list contains everything you need to know from A-Z... DON'T skimp out on anything that's included in the list... every last thing is VERY important. (there were two questions in my exam on Probability: Tree Diagrams.. the list included that but I never touched on it so... *insert statement of morose/regret here

There won't be anything from Year 11 like factorial notation/binomial theorem/factorization on (x+y)^3 pattern stuff coz there wasn't any of that stuff for me and I took the exam for year 11 entry :)

Hope this helps.

Have you done the selective school (year 11 entry) for mhs, nhs, schs and mghs. If so, what do you think will be on it?

Sorry m8... that one's on 8th Aug, 2020... so still some time away. (the one im doing is SCHS year 11 entry)
However, I would assume it would be the same in terms of content.

Here's another (late) helpful link:

Hi, yeah thats great but we are doing entry to year 10 for JMSS, would it be easier, would it still nclude logarithms or binomial theorem?

thats true
the practice tests that i have, literally have no questions of that sort, only really hard calculation questions, in which they intend to slow you down.
anyone who did the year ten entry exam last year remember which questions were of the majority

No, it most likely won't include logarithms and definitely won't include Binomial Theorem.

No, it most likely won't include logarithms and definitely won't include Binomial Theorem.

Having said that, it doesn't hurt to look at the contents of basic logarithms and get the concepts just in case.
It's basically just placing the numbers in a different arrangement.

I kno y'all are anxious for the exam... I'll try to answer all questions to the best of my ability.
