Hey guys,
I just wanted to know how difficult it is to get a 90+ ATAR and what s required for it? Is VCE all about time management, memorisation and work ethic? Also does the quality of the school you attend and the the teachers effect your learning? For example, if my teachers teach poorly and I study super hard outside of school, will I still be able to achieve my desired score (My score is notorious for being bad)? How much of it is determined by yourself? Lastly, how important do you guys think tutors are?
Thanks in advance.
Hey, Habibti! Welcome to ATAR Notes - and great question.
It's pretty hard to objectively say how difficult it is to hit 90+. It's almost like asking, "how hard is it to consistently shoot three-pointers in basketball?" There are so many factors at play. Is the ball sufficiently pumped? Is the ring tight or loose? How skilled are you at sports? Have you been practising? How strong are you? Is it windy? And so on and so forth.
Similar thing with VCE.
As you identify, your school will probably play some sort of role in determining scores, but by no means is it the be all and end all. If your teachers are terrible but you still work hard, can you still achieve your dream score? Absolutely! Without question.
Teachers can be important, but
much more important is your own work ethic, your dedication, your time management and so on.
You are in charge of your VCE - not your school, not your teachers.
You.Stick around on the forums - this is the perfect place to ask your questions, particularly if you're concerned with where your school's at.
Again, welcome aboard!
