Hey guys just wondering what text books you are all using for 3/4 this year or next year?
We are using Cmbridge Essentials and tbh its not the greatest. Im dreading using it for 3/4. So if anyone has any suggestions on some better texts i would love to hear it :)
Thanks

Heinemann VCE Zone MM has thorough explanations and it is a lot more interesting than cambridge.

Probably stick with Cambridge as it provides some very challenging questions. I recommend that you don't use Maths Quest because it doesn't provide the level of difficulty that the specialist course requires.

Although MQ explanations are farr more easier to comprehend than Essential explanations.

Dimensions and Hi and also pretty good.

If you can grab both Essential for the questions and MQ for worked examples, worked well for me this year.

I doubt you'd have time to do more than two textbooks. I believe Essentials is rather good to learn the material, however, the time you'd spend using a different book can be better used doing questions from other sources (past exams, checkpoints, teacher?) I dont know, i just think that the textbook is only useful when you're trying to learn the material- then the crucial part is applying it in other questions.

textbooks aren't really for "doing" in year 12. the exercises are there to help you learn and consolidate knowledge.

the actual preparations should be done with exam styled questions, that is checkpoints, A+ notes, past papers, past papers, past papers, past papers, past papers, SACs [and sample SACs], past papers, past papers, past papers, past papers,...
