Infants - 50% REM, 50% NREM (16 hours sleep daily)
Adolescents - 20% REM, 80% NREM (9 hours sleep daily)
Adults - 20-25% REM, 75-80% NREM (7.5-9 hours sleep daily)
Elderly - 20% REM, 80% NREM (6 hours sleep daily)

That's what I've got in my notes, but I keep getting different answers in practice exams.
Also, I know Grivas says 33% REM for elderly but apparently that's incorrect.

Yeah Grivas says 2 hours in REM out of a total 6 for the elderly as REM is relatively stable after childhood, however total sleep decreases. Is that wrong? :/
