2011Insight MC Q7??

Im really confused with 2011Insight exams MC Q7....

It states that when two hairless hamsters are interbred, 4 normal haired and 8 hairless pup are produced.
And the Question asked what does that suggest....

This would mean that the hairless hamsters are heterozygotes and hairless is the dominant trait...? (dunno if im right...)

But the answers is : homozygous recessive genotype may be lethal

If that were the case, doesn't it mean that there will be no normal haired pup produced?

Anyone who did this exams pls help me?  Thankks~

i dont think any of the choices are correct.
H=Hairless
h= haired
and parents are heterozygous
you would have expected a 3:1 ratio but the question gives you a 2:1 so you expect homozygous dominant to be lethal
so unless option B is meant to be homzygous dominant (thats what im thinking) the answers are wrong

Thats what i think anyway, unless someone can think of a better explanation
