Picking up 3/4 politics?

I'm in year 11 and I haven't done 1/2 politics as my school does not provide it. However they are considering opening a 3/4 class next year since we've finally gathered enough interested students and I'd love to drop Japanese (which I hate oh so much) and join that class.
So, do I need 1/2 politics or can I quite easily jump into 3/4? Anything I should read up on to be prepared?

The year 12 Global Politics class at my school this year consists only of students who didn't do units 1/2, and it's of an extremely high standard. But then again, we have a fantastic teacher.

Yeah we have a great teacher! My philosophy teacher will be teaching Politics, and he's great and I know I have a good cohort.
How about the subject itself? Did you find it hard to pick up?

Not at all. The first AoS consists entirely of learning the key skills and knowledge you'll require for the rest of the course.

EDIT: Cannot string a sentence together today :|

Ah that's relieving. Thanks! :)
