its just for the year ending 2013, not 2012 and 2013

From June to December is only half of the year that we are calculating using that carrying value..

Same goes for from January to June

The alternatives will never be accepted as answers because in VCE we never deal with cents. Therefore it is 100% recorded as a period cost
