Taking my german writing further

Hey guys,

I'm currently doing VCE German and I'm really enjoying it and doing well, but recently I feel that my writing has become a bit repetitive and lacking in fresh ideas.

Are there any resources out there: books, poetry, grammar notes etc... that could give me some new ideas with which to work? I'm talking about grammatical features, special phrases, interesting vocabulary etc...

Or if anyone has some good pieces of writing which they would be kind enough to share, that would be great.

I don't know if they have it for German but Victorian School of Languages sells this great guide for French that tells you exactly how to write for different text types- you should ask if they have one for German as well

EDIT: The title of the book was "Dealing with Text Types in French" (M Worthington)--> I'm not sure though if they have one for German; but it was REALLY helpful for french; connect education also has great notes in French so I'm assuming their notes in German is also great (sorry but I did french...)

Why not have a go at reading German literature? I'm not very familiar with German literary history, but I found that for French, one of the best ways to improve my vocabulary and contextual writing was by reading novels by French literary giants (Hugo, Dumas etc).
