Hi everyone,
Does anyone know where I can find any useful BM 3/4 resources for the new 2017 study design? So far I only really have checkpoints, A+ exams, TSSM's teach yourself series, and will soon be getting some TSFX notes. I'm still looking for anyone's recommendations for resources besides those I just listed which will be very useful for me next year.
Thanks :-)
Hi!
Much like Felix has already stated, the most essential part is combining all of the notes you have to create your own summary, as this will ensure you understand the content, and act as a form of revision that you may refer back to. I would also recommend Jigsaw’s Guide, as it outlines many key points of how to obtain a high score in BusMan.
I completed Business Management this year and used a variety of sources to formulate my own notes, including TSSM lectures, ATARNotes, Edrolo and Teaching Bubble. If you haven’t already checked it out, I would highly recommend the Teaching Bubble videos – especially if your school doesn’t have access to Edrolo. I watched these videos both prior to SACs and learning the content in class – ensuring that I had a basic understanding of the information before it was taught, and acting as a simple form of revision.
Another thing I would recommend is familiarising yourself with the task words – as this is often an area where marks are lost. Practice a multitude of questions for each task word prior to SAC’s and the exam – ensuring that you are able to quickly identify what the question is asking you under timed conditions.
Finally, another tactic I found useful was creating visual aids – posters, tables etc. As Business Management has a high amount of content, this breaks the information down into a more simplistic and appealing format, and allowed me to retain the information much quicker than simply reading it. The sources that you already have for the subject should be more than adequate, it is really about what you do with the information, and how you go about applying yourself/creating your own notes that will influence your performance and understanding.
