Wanting to do Renaissance History 3/4 out of school?

I go to a pretty small school and we don't have an awfully wide range of 3/4 subjects to choose from. I have to select my 3/4 subjects for next year, and I'm wanting to pick up either Renaissance History 3/4 or Philosophy 3/4 (I've made a separate post on the Philosophy board ) but our school doesn't offer it.  Is there any way I could learn this subject out of school, like people who go to weekend language schools? Are there any places where I could learn this subject out of school? My only other option is taking up Psychology 3/4, which my school does offer, but I'd much rather do either of those two subjects because I'm much more interested in those and in the past, I've done really well in those electives. Please help!

Yep, many universities and tafes offer VCE subjects outside of school, like RMIT, BHI and VU here:
