[2016 LA Club] Week 10

Many apologies for being a day late; stuff happened unexpectedly yesterday afternoon that meant I genuinely couldn't post. (well like I could have if I'd done it early in the afternoon, but I didn't know I wouldn't be able to do it later and procrastination and excuses lol)

Given ANZAC day on Monday, I thought it'd be cool to look at some of the recruitment posters back from WWI.  Looking at some of the extremely sexist and racist posters I found (which I mainly left out), and the different traits they appealed to back then, it was pretty fascinating to think about how culture and social values influence the ways we try to manipulate people... and yet how some values and human characteristics are pretty universal. yeah, I'm just a bit lame
