As competitive markets dictate that their are a high number of sellers producing homogenous products; the only ting separating their goods are price. However, consumers look to pay the lowest possible price for the good they require, and as a result sellers must look at ways at which they can reduce their prices in order to attract more consumers. This is done by reaching technical efficiency, which only cares about the current production of the good; not the future. As a result of this, inter temporal efficiency are affected in a negative manner by competitive markets.
