topic decision

Hi Guys!   

I have a lit oral assignment where we have to choose ONE topic to present on and use only ONE of Gwen hardwoods poem to support it.
I have chosen "burning Sappho" but I'm a bit confused between the two topics
either:
1. many of hardwoods poems offer a critique of social Institutions
2. hardwoods female charceters are prisoners of social expectations

I feel they are both very similar to each other. I could do number 1 and say her critique is of marriage and motherhood, say why and then say in burning Sappho the mother is a prisoner of social expectations (which links to topic 2) to stay at home rather than be a writer or pursue another career, causing her to form an evil persona and hatred toward everyone in her life, including her children etc etc. If someone could help me choose one that would be awesome. Sorry if it sounds a bit rushed, I literally wrote this in one minute hahaha

any help will be appreciated !!!!
