Indo SL - Sample evaluative essay

I've attached a sample evaluative essay in PDF format. The topic is on the respective advantages/disadvantages of the Indo and Australian educational system. This should give you some clues as to the layout, structure, and vocab that you will need to employ in the essay portion of the written exam.

I'll be honest: the basic gist of this text was taken from an in-class handout, but I have amended it to a) make the arguments make more sense, and b) include a richer vocabulary and more "handy phrases/idioms." Note that whilst the content is very basic, a variety of linguistic features have been employed. It's this kind of variety in phrasing and grammatical structures that will give you better marks in the exam. I'll be posting a compiled list of such phrases on the board shortly.
