Budget variances and ratio analysis are conceptually more challenging than they'd appear at first.

HOW is everyone finding Unit 4 in comparsion to Unit 3?.. I'm finding that it's not too bad and I think it's on par with Unit 3. [It's not to hard, yet it isn't too easy.]

THE one good thing is that there is less practical stuff involved in Unit 4 than there was in Unit 3. I think I'm better at the THEORY-based questions than the practical... which is better for me in that sense. :P

Don't like it :( I'm getting worse marks. I think it's because we didn't do it last year and i make the stupidest mistakes in the sacs.

I've kinda looked through them, but im yet to finish the budgeting chapter so there's really no point starting. I should finish it this week, and then do the case studies from each chapter as revision then start practice exams next week. I don't care what you say, you can never do too many practice exams.

LOL. ok...

on the contrary... I do agree with you. PRACTICE exams are the things which help you the most... the more the better I say... although it's not always quantity over quality. (make sure your marking each exam you do!) :P

Yeah, I've done a few, as well as completed a few study guides. Kind of frustrated as most exams written by independent companies are plagued with mistakes (TSSM, Neap, Insight etc.). Bloody annoying when you think you've epically failed and then you find out you were right all along.
I've been getting 84+ out of 90 so far so things are looking good.

Yeah I don't just do exam after exam, i mark and review as necessary. I might get checkpoints or someting as well, if need be.

And I don't really know what to aim for, I was happy with the mid-year and think I have a pretty good chance on the Unit 4 exam, so i guess 45+ but I really don't want to aim too high. Just keepin it real, which probably isn't a great thing haha

LOL. I know what you mean... TSSM especially, their exams are riddled with mistakes. getting 84+/90 on the practice exams is pretty good in itself. aiming for 90/90 by the time the end-of-year exam comes round? :P

I'm hoping for 40+ in Accounting.

I stuffed up my mid-year so I destroyed any hope of getting 50 in accounting, so I guess I'm really going to try for 100% on the end-of-year exam. Best case scenario is looking like a 48, so fingers-crossed for that.

Practice makes perfect hopefully.

40+ score when you're in year 11 sets you up great for year 12. Way less stress and studying.
