Booklets on stuff that can be used in exegesis etc... teacher gave us like 5 booklets per lesson. accumulated = 1 pile shoulder deep.

i just use the back pages of the booklets as scrap paper for maths now lol

LOL i do that for maths as well
did you study a lot for the exam? if so, how did you study for it?

and can i just say looking at your subjects, TAT is a really random choice, why didn't you do further or physics? you seem maths oriented

Umm, i stayed home for 3 days before the exam and just read the whole gospel again, memorised the order of passages of chapters of special study (for exegesis purposes), i read Tannehill and another 2 commentaries. Sad to say... i didn't write any practice exams besides the two done in school organized prac exams.

I didn't plan on doing a 3/4 in year 11, they just chucked me in there as i said before cos there was 3 people in my RE class. and yeah im maths/science orientated :P
you'd probably end up with a higher study score if you just dropped TAT and did RNS right now til the end of year lol

LOL the sad thing is i think that's true, about the RNS thing, ahh damn it, why didn't i have the foresight to realise TAT would be the death of me?
ah Tannehill does my head in but i'd take him over fitzmyer anyday
Do you think it would be more beneficial to do practice exams or just write an exegesis on every passage in Luke?

And if you weren't planning on doing a 3/4 in year 11, were you just going to have 4 subjects in year 12? i must say that's pretty daring of you

What's life without risks? :P

Nah i did 5 subjects this year, i withdrawed from IT: Software Development unit 4.

I heard that a lot of schools made their kids write an exegesis on every special study passage, and they probably were the students that ended up with higher scores. I wouldn't know cos i was lazy and did jack all.

Do you have access to lots of books? My teacher brought in like 40 books on Luke and chucked them in the cupboard... we were free to take them home and read them all throughout the year. I think that would help heaps

lol i've always been a little on the safe side when it comes to academics

thats a good idea about the special passages, hopefully i'll be able to do that considering i have a year of methods to catch up on

my school has some books but not many, i'd say we'd only have 10 max for luke. If you had heaps though did it get confusing at all trying to memorise quotes?

Psst, here's a tip...

Make up your own quotes in the exam :) Use this sentence structure

Scholar ________ (make up a name) interprets the phrase/word ____________ as ____________.

As long as it sounds legit, it will be accepted. No examiner has read EVERY book on Luke's gospel... and will not dare to call you a liar

If memory serves me correctly and they haven't changed the exam structure... in the exam, you get like 3 sections, and limited choice as to which ones you answer. Hopefully you won't be like me and be clueless on all the questions... the only one i could do was the exegesis, the essay and short answer questions were all garbage lol i had no idea... had 0 things to write on all the options

lol unfortunately they changed the structure so there is a new study design this year. they added a few extra questions and there is only one exegesis now, i think there use to be two? that's partially why i'm so desperate for help since there is a new structure and the sample exam they've released isn't relevant to this year's special chapters so i think i'm a little screwed

Just out of curiosity... why did you pick TAT?

i didnt even pick it, i had a RE class of 3 people so they threw me in there. i don't see why anyone would WANT to pick this subject

I wish I could have done it. Unfortunately though I was already doing six subjects this year. =(

Nevertheless, I still sit in on most classes. Very very interesting I must say.

You probably can, but that would be crazy if you were working solidly in each of them...

Thing is I really wanted to do Further and would have also possibly done Psychology.

I probably could have done an extra one though as I haven't exactly capitalised on my time so far this year...

Also, my school doesn't even let people do six really. It was funny when the VCE co-ordinator asked how I was finding my subjects at the start of the year and afterwards was shocked that there were six, Haha. I think he just didn't make the connection last year that enhancement counted as a subject..
