Exam was okay, took me a little longer than the practices, answered the last 5 marks in the last 5 mins...
Didn't like them asking about transcription/translation >.<

fairly easy;
anyone else notice that ridiculously stupid MC question:
A) Female I1 has the trait
B) Male I1 has the trait
C) Female I2 has the trait
D) Male I2 has the trait
(something along the lines of this)
what kind of question is this? lol.

I think my answer was I2 had the trait... forgot if they were female or male

i said Jaw X was australo as it was more parablolic and it had a reduced size in canines ;x
Wrote this also

Are the introns removed in transcription or translation?

introns are removed during transcription, and RNA ligase joined the remaining exons to form a complete mRNA strand.

for the MC on "who has the trait" i felt it was C (i think) where it was the mother of I-2 who had the trait, because being a x-linked dominant, I-2 will inherit the father's Y chromosome, so for him to show the trait his mother must carry the X(bad) chromosome. being dominant means she will have the trait even when in a heterozygote

i need help people! for the migrating group question, was it asking for the process that occured or the name of the group? i know the process was founder effect, so i said the group name was founder group lol, correct or what was the proper answer?

OMG i totally forgot about RNA ligase nooo

It was definetly asking the name of the group, i had to read it twice as well, i knew it was targeting the founder effect so i wrote founder group/founder population

In summary, all I have to say is well done VCAA, great exam.  Very fair, no matter what mark I get.

Best part.  No gay ass fucking plant questions!!!

I disagree
I didnt like the exam ( and i think i did pretty good anyway)

thought it was REALLY badly set out.
last years exam involved questions on a broad range of the course.
this years was a bit random .. WAYY too many similar questions.
