Wow thats cool sheepz. You already have one shoe in on a Commerce degree @ Monash. Well not really, but you're ahead and if you do Com @ Monash you can take some 2nd year subjects in semester 2 =)

i got a HD for last semester ^^ haha according to our lecturer a year 12 student got the highest throughout the whole uni for our subject - AFC1022: Accounting principles. I'm pretty sure that's the compulsory accounting unit students of Bachelor of Commerce have to do (it'll be slightly different next year though). This semester is 'Introduction to Financial Accounting'.

Does the statement of marks actually tell you which question you got marks taken off from? I never knew that >.<

haha yeah second year accounting subjects ^^ im hoping to get into bachelor of accounting if i can but yeah they would give me credit for the subjects i did as well =)

haha thx! thx to everyone else who said congratz to me too =) i wish i will be but yeah our lecturer told us that our marks will probably decrease by around 10% so i guess we'll have to see!

im pretty sure this semester's subject is much more theory based (it looks boring =.=) and yeah probably quite wordy as well. last semester's one was pretty balanced with quite a lot of practical but that's where the hard and confusing part comes in as well. the textbook is DEFINITELY VERY WORDY though haha i hardly read it because it would take me soo long >.<

lol if im enrolled in bachelor of accounting i guess im kinda screwed? haha hmm if i really hate it i think ill probably finish the 3 year course first (i dun really think i can get out halfway and there's the scholarship and work placement components in it anyway so might as well continue) and then swap to another bachelor of what i think i wanna do... if im in bachelor of commerce on the other hand i'll just change major probably...

So what is the verdict on Unit 4 guys? I have found it a bit harder, especially the analyzing bits because I wasn't used to that in accounting! Is everyone finished the course?

Yeh... its harder imo than unit 3... just like adding on more stuff than unit 3.. but the fundamentals are still found in unit 3, so just adding on to them is the key (besides stuff like evaluating profitability and liquidity).

We havent finished the course yet. Still just starting the profitability and liquidity stuff.

Yeah, totally agree with you guys that its a bit harder :(
We are up to the last chapter at school now and we're meant to finish it on the holidays.
I think i might spend a few hours on it sometime this week and try to finish it off :)

And then...revision and practice exam time!!! :D
