How neat is your maths writing?

Hopefully this doesn't strive too far off top but I was wondering how neat everyone's numerals, symbols etc. are. I cringe at my exercise book and all the gray scribbles of its contents.
My numerals and symbols are an absolute mess if I want to do an exam within time constraints i.e. I can be neat when I want to but I'm naturally messy.

I'm also a heavy writer and so my lead becomes dull and thick (which results in even harder to read writing). For instance, and this has happened in a SAC as well, I had to rub out an integral equation 2 times because the terminals and fractions were unreadable :( This also has me worried for the exams.

I use 0.5 HB. Anyone recommend me some better lead?

Over time I have learnt to put lines through my 7s and zs when doing maths so that they don't look like 1 and 2 respectively. Also my 4s were similar to my 9s. :P

I would really suggest not rubbing stuff out, instead crossing it out and writing below it. I know it doesn't look as nice but it saves you time :P

Most of my maths is done quite messily and haphazardly on any paper I so happen to spot, but during an exam I usually try to write neatly and accurately with everything well presented.

I recommend 2B lead because it's easier to rub out (IMO)

Otherwise can't help you much ... I spend more time making my answers look neat than actually working them out :P

I use pacers, I find they are very easy to rub out but if you buy them thick enough they are quite clear. Plus they don't go blunt!!! My biggest problem is my a's look like 9's :P but apart from x, a is my favourite variable :/

Well...
When I start off a problem, its usually neat...
Then as I progress through the problem, it gets messier and messier (with all the main calculations and side calculations). I even submit my uni maths assignments in messy and the tutors don't care.
In exams and tests, I use pen and so whenever I make mistakes(of which I encounter a lot), I just scribble it out...

I don't really have a problem with messy writing itself, only when I use pen in a SAC then have to scribble it out when I make a mistake. So I think I'll be getting myself some pacers before the maths/physics exams.

In fact, people always say I have girl hand writing... so I'm possibly TOO neat at times which makes my writing look feminine haha.

EDIT: typo.

Thanks I'll try 2B ninwa.
Oh well I'll try correct myself over the holidays.

Well feminine handwriting can look nice. But there's really no gender in handwriting. It's either neat or its not. What female letters have more curves or something?  :P

I have a tendency to join my coefficients with numbers.

Oh and my brackets are horrible when I rush.

I used to join my coefficients with my numerals too! I can't help it!

My maths was fairly neat unless I was running out of space or there was lots and lots of scribbling. I always used a pen.
