Dr Dre Beats Studio! :D
I got mine for a $150 and they were real lol
The noise cancelling feature is atrocious. Otherwise, they are brilliant headphones with amazing bass and excellent sound quality

Various places, depending on where is cheap. I've bought stuff from Amazon, from headphones.com.au, and from addictedtoaudio.com.au (their shop in Kew is amazing, you can audition some ridiculously expensive gear, like a $10k CD transport).

Yeah that's fine - I'm familiar with the deal KevinooBz must have taken advantage of. Spending $19.95 is fine, they're the best headphones you'll get for that much. People spending $500 on studios is stupid, in my opinion.

Everyone has their own opinion, and I respect that.

Spending any money on beats is stupid. There are many many better products at every price point. Beats are just fashion accessories and commercial bullshit. Same goes for Bose, Skullkandy, and half of the Senn range.

Even my $35 reloop sounds better than beats :D

I reckon it depends on the person, if there were other headphones out there that look good like Beats, I would buy them, but at the moment, Beats just look so damn good!

I know of brands like Shure, Audio-Technica, AKG, Grado, but they all don't have those good looks!

How about Fanny Wang?  http://www.fannywang.com/.  I saw a pair in Melbourne Central.  It looks so much like Beats.

There's a good $1k down the hole, haha. There's a good $1k well spent.
Fixed that for you ;)

Myself: Sennheiser HD 418, pretty good bass and very comfortable - quite good for the price :)

Also have an assortment of unknown branded (ceebz finding out) earphones.

AT ES7? AT SQ5? V-Moda M80? V-jays?

I'm sorry, I don't know what you're talking about.

Idk, I like AT's sound, but I don't really like their looks, just not really my style. I was thinking of the V-Moda M80 actually, they're pretty decent and they have good as build quality, plus they look good, but I managed to get the beats for a good price. Plus I have my IE8s anyways, and they're beastly!

Want to know what's money well spent?

Benchmark DAC1 + Ray Samuels Emmeline II "The Raptor" + Audeze LCD-3

That's $4.5k, before cables.

and THEN, we shall proceed to throw out the DAC1 and replace it with some ridiculous record player.

See, now I don't understand. If you have IE8s, how can you even listen to Beats?

Beats sound like some basshead kid has come and messed with my EQ, turned bass all the way up, and muffled everything else. They don't even compare my cheap Ultrasones, let alone to the IE8?

Unless, of course, you are one of those kids who mess with their EQ in iTunes.
