Thought I'd copy academicbulimia thread but with this awesome genre of music. Love Tame Impala, The Growl, Temples, Jefferson Airplane, Pink Floyd etc. Any bands people recommend?  8)

It's not quite the same brand of psychadelia, but I'd highly recommend Cream's Disraeli Gears and Jethro Tull's Stand Up for more blues influenced stuff. If you haven't listened to earlier (Piper and Saucerful, really) PF stuff that's worth a listen too.

Not really rock, but Toro y Moi has some really chilled out music. 'Rose Quartz' is a good psychedelic track of his. I recommend the entire album "Anything in return", but it varies in style away from psychedelic.

Yes I have Disraeli Gears, great album! I'll definitively have a look at Jethro Tull!

yeah big fan of him, going to his concert on tuesday. washed out is also pretty good, falls into that genre of chillwave
