I'm of the opinion that any and all subjects can help you in medicine.
Philosophy has been a great background for medical ethics and clinical decision making. English language has been useful when navigating professionalism and patient communication. Literally whatever it is, if you reflect and draw connections between your life experiences, you can realise its worth.
I think the more important thing is to think about what subject you are more innately passionate about. The passion will help you study well and get good marks, and the good marks is what will really help you in medicine – well, the 'getting in' part, that is.
The rest is just arbitrary. I didn't take biology but I'm doing fine. Not everyone took chem and they're doing fine. I'm terrible at math but am doing fine. Some people don't have great English skill but do fine. Just focus on putting your best foot forward and you can learn the rest later.
Good luck xx
