I thought I kept all my eco past papers, But I can't find them anywhere hahah  ;D
I don't have the exact questions but I do remember doing ones on:
- Nature of demand/supply what causes the shifts in demand and supply (using diagrams in the essay)
- Monetary/Fiscal policy essays (what is it, what causes changes, expansions/contractions, trends)
- Labour market outcomes (wages, unions, employment standards, labour demand/supply)
- Market competition (monopoly, oligopoli etc etc)

As for HSC, looking through the past papers would be the best bet

Tip: if you look at the "students learn to: examine economic skills " dot point things in the syllabus they're good to model an essay off, they start with prompts like "analyse.." "assess.." etc. (a better idea for prelim?? since all the HSC questions are online :) )

I don't have a clue if this helped at all, but I'm going off memory sorry  :P  :P

Here were a few from past HSC trial papers :)
- Analyse the economic implications of a tightening of monetary policy on Australia’s external stability
- Evaluate TWO recent economic development strategies used by an economy
other than Australia
- Evaluate the methods of financing budget deficits and the uses of budget surpluses
- Evaluate the alternative policies available to address the external stability of Australia
- Discuss the impact of free trade and protection policies on the economic development of
Australia

Hope this helps!

So you're in year 11?? The ones that I posted are ones I remember doing in year 11  ;D Since your school sets the paper the questions are whatever they want them to be, but I really doubt you'd get anything from prelim topic 1 since that's basically just learning how to interpret what's going on. The year 11 essays are never going to be brutal, if you know your stuff it should be fine  ;D

Yes but you didn't seem to post much on it  :(

Are you sure that's it for prelim because I'm pretty sure there are much more than that?

Thanks
