A lot of them just look like one off lectures during the first week. I imagine that would be clash-tastic. Not sure what that lecturer is trying to achieve, there's not that much course content in ILR.

mmm not sure. The lecturer may be a keen bean and want to get ahead in the ILR course (lol) or it may just be a mistake. If you can contact the lecturer that might clear things up.

Sometimes a clash will be unavoidable, however, it is generally not a problem in first year.

So I wouldn't be missing out on anything if I chose any one of lectures 2,3,4,5 or 6? And would the uni ever give out timetables with clashes?

Wtf kind of lecture...

...

...wtf??

*Scrutinises the monstrosity*

Okay, it *looks* like:

  • Option 4 allows you to get the course done and out of the way in 6 weeks, instead of 13... at the cost of you being drilled for 6 hours every Friday for those first six weeks.
  • Options 2, 3, 5 and 6 are standard lecturing... every week for a couple of hours, all the way through to week 13.
  • Option 1 is... very... special. Okay... Option one is: week one you go at it Mon - Thurs for four hours each day. Then for the following 4 weeks you have a two hour lecture on Mondays and Tuesdays at 3pm. Then no lectures for a number of weeks. Then in week 13 (the last week) you again have a two hour lecture on the Monday and the Tuesday at 3pm (presumably a revision lecture).

lol ask fyrefly

Lol, y'know... sometimes it's not exactly wise to ask Fyrefly... ^_^;
