Biology
GA1 91/100
GA2 94/100
Exam 100/110 or 90/110 (Two SS's for each possibility please)

Assuming those are your scaled GA 1/2 scores, I'd say 44-45 for 100/110 on the exam and 38-39 for 90/110

Business Management

Scenario 1:
GA1: 97/100 (RANK 1)
GA2: 94/100 (lets say rank 2/3 - just to see effect)
Exam: off the top of my head its out of 130, so ill go with 121/130 ,

Scenario 2:
GA1: 97/100 (RANK 1)
GA2: 96/100 (lets say rank 1)
Exam: so ill go with 126/130 ,

Yeah, those are what I expect my scores to go up to based on the previous cohorts scaling
 (80-->atleast 91 and 86-->atleast 93/94)

Didn't realise that 10 marks could mean 5 SS points though

I was basing my predictions off last year's biology cohort. A+ cutoff was 93/110 from memory, so a 90/110 would probably place you in the top 10-12% of the state, meaning you'd be nearing a study score of 38-39. On the statement of results thread for 2013, if I recall correctly, 2 students scored 47 and 48 with 104/110 with high A+'s for both GA 1/2. So a 100/110 with a high A for GA 1 and low A+ for GA 2 ~ 44-45 study score.

I scored the following for Biology last year:
GA1: 93/100--> 99/100
GA2: 94/100 ---> 100/100
GA3: 101/110

That was a 47 last year, for anyone interested in basing predictions.

what causes sacs to be scaled? an overall killer performance from cohort or from rank 1? how does rank 1 affect the scaling off sacs?

thanks

Definitely your ranking within that cohort. I was ranked first in a very poorly-performing cohort. Thus, my SAC marks were moderated according to me being ranked first + my performance on the exam.
