Might be a dumb question but how do we access our atars tomorrow? Is there a specific section on the uac website I need to log onto? Thanks :)

Not unless they come first, however it is likely that the school will check the top achievers list to see if someone from the cohort made it :)

Congratulations by the way!! What an incredible achievement! Standard English is one of the hardest subjects to do well in - you're an absolute legend :D

Thank you so much!! Honestly couldn't have done it without ATARNotes ;)

This website does mention that there is a UAC app you may use.

Other than that, fairly sure the website gets temporarily redesigned on the day of ATAR release. I think from memory they open up two servers to reduce the lag somewhat, and just clicking into any one of them will let you log into UAC and see your ATAR

Just adding on to this - the app is really easy to use! The home area has 5 sections, including about your preferences and offers, but also your 2017 ATAR! All you need to do is enter your student number and UAC pin :D

are the scaled marks fully moderated across other subjects? like does it take into account how much harder the 4u exam was than the 2u? so a 94 in 4u is higher than a 94 in 2u?

They are not supposed to be moderated and aligned across other subjects. A 94 in 4u will probably just contribute more to the ATAR than a 94 in 2u.

so yea the contributions will be different? how are they scaled then? just amongst the course itself?

2017 ATAR: 98.95  ;D ;D  ;D

English advanced- 96 (to this day my most hated subject  :))
Maths 2 unit- 94 (so surprised when I was ranked 8/13!)
Biology- 95 woohoo
Geography- 93 (Hoping for higher but oh well)
Chemistry- 90 (so happy and surprised to have scraped a band 6)
Maths ext 1- 44 (so so close!)

Super happy with all my results, especially to be on the all rounders list! :) It's a bit hard not to be a little bit disappointed though so close to a 99!

I definitely couldn't have done it without atar notes this year, and I am so grateful for everyone in this warm community who sacrifices their time and effort for each other. Even though I've more been a bit of a lurker than a poster, from the notes to creative marking to the question forums,  atar notes was such a big part of my year 12 journey so thank you everyone!!
