Probably not. Law is a very isolated faculty. By all means, ask them, but I think for most units you have to be enrolled in a law degree (with probably a few exceptions). If you're interested in law, maybe do some criminology subjects?

amirite?

Maybe things like copyright law, contract law, etc.

Like eriny said you CAN do criminal justice and criminology.

from what ive heard arts is one of the most flexible degrees in term of subject choice, and isnt it actually a requirement that in 1st year you do something from outside the arts faculty?
so if law is seperate from arts i dont see why you cant do some law/legal subjects

No. Also criminology isn't a law subject.

The law faculty is very up itself and looks down on arts students. I can't imagine it letting any arts student just come in and do a law subject.

Copyright law and contract law both have pre-requisites (the two introductory law subjects) which only law students can undertake.

Thanks for all you help.
Would i be allowed to do subjects such as
http://www.monash.edu.au/pubs/2010handbooks/units/AFF1000.html
or
http://www.monash.edu.au/pubs/2010handbooks/units/BTF1010.html

Thanks

Yes, those are BusEco units.

Occasionally, if classes are too full, they will ask that students taking these units as an elective pick something else.
It doesn't happen often though, and you can always just take it the following semester instead.
