anyone have any laptop recommendations?

I've had a Samsung for ages and it's been great - it really depends what you want it for though! My Chromebook has been absolutely amazing. I use it for note taking, internet browsing etc whilst at school and it's also been perfect. Battery life of like eight hours, under $300, starts in perhaps four seconds... What will you use it for??

Is it bad that the first thought that pops into my head after seeing any kid younger than me is:

"Hah! You still have x years of school to go! SUCCKEERRR"

Just had graduation ball, and it's finally sinking in that school is kapoot.

I have a job trial at a pizza shop at 3:30 and I'm freaking the hell out.
I remember my first trial as a front counter seriously freaked me out. I stuffed up a lot of orders and served too slow -,-.... However, I think the staff and even the manager know it is quite impossible to require everything to be perfect on first day  so they won't stress you out :)!! Good luck!

So I've been told I'm receiving an award next week at our speech night, but I'm going to be on Schoolies. As I'm only going down to Lorne, do you think it's worth coming back to get the award?

Haha I don't think I would, although it's much harder to come back on a whim from QLD. Our award ceremony isn't until next year anyway.

Out of the 50+ I handed in, ~25 got knocked back completely. Just flat out refused to take it..

Wow I tried this afternoon, and my rejection rate was even worse. I asked at 20-25 places, and only 6-7 actually accepted it.

Everytime they said I should have applied earlier I felt like saying, 'I know you were hiring at the end of October, but was I supposed to skip my damn English exam or something?'

Oh well, hopefully something comes of it, otherwise it is looking like I'm going to have a very sober schoolies haha!

Well...judging by my ATAR and my current course...it's not likely that biomed at Melbourne was my first preference :P
I never wanted to do med or health sciences

I still have no frigging idea what happened to him and I'm sure he doesn't want to talk about it.
Just wondering Nliu, what do you want to be?? I'm guessing you're gonna do a PhD and then maybe do research?? physics field?? satellites etc??

I really like how you're doing what you love and not going towards the health sciences etc, even though your ATAR is perfect :)

No but really, that's harsh man. A lot of the places I applied at too were just like we're done hiring but we can take your resume anyway..probably just goes in the bin. I suppose we'll never know..

Agreed on the hopeful part ! I need the cash ahaha..otherwise it's going to a be a very boring holiday ! :P

Good luck hunting !

PS - anyone here with a job, please pointers ?
