Biology Study Score 2018

Hey guys I’m currently in year 11 and I was wondering what my study score would look like.
I averaged around:
Unit 3
87% term 1
91% term 2
Unit 4
91% term 3
90% term 4
I was wondering what study score I’d be looking at and if it was possible for me to get a study score over 40. Also I don’t know if this will help but I was rank two in my cohort for Unit 3 but my teacher didn’t tell us our ranking in Unit 4 yet but I should be close to that ranking still. I’d really appreciate it if someone could tell me what study score I’m looking at and if it’s still possible for me to get an over 40 study score. Also, can you guys mention what your study score was and what you guys averaged to get that score.
Thanks

Hey,  could you please provide a predicted exam score?

My SAC averages would have been lower than that (but I was rank 1) and I ended up with 47 (raw)

Umm if your saying what the teacher predicts I’ll score, she once said to the class she predicts the top 6 she believes can get A+ and that she will put down as our prediction as A+. I don’t know if she changed her predictions as this was for Unit 3

Since I don't know what exact the raw sac scores are out of, this prediction may be slightly off:
Through two sources: 8.736%(AN) and 9%(VCAA) gets a score above 40
Based on this:
Therefore approximately you need to obtain mid A+ in both GA1 (9.2-3% students approx in 2016-2017 score A+) and GA2 (17% approx in 2016-17 scored A+) moderated score; with an exam score (GA3) of borderA/A+ (8.7% approx in 2016-17 scored an A+ in the exams).

However getting an border A/A+ may cause your sacs moderated marks to not meet the minimum score of 40+ if no one below you outperform in which his/her is the nth highest exam score correlates to your sac ranking. Therefore I would aim for mid A+ for GA3 for you sacs to be moderated accordingly.

Do note, the minimum scores is for a ss of 40 however is only a prediction based on past two years, therefore isn't guaranteed where scores can vary but should give you a solid insight on what you may need to achieve to obtain 40+

In 2016 188/220, 85.45% is A+
in 2017 (new study design) 190/240, 79.17% is A+, I assume the new study design exams are more difficult.

Mid A+ would be around 89-91% based on 2017 graded distribution.

this year what would you think the minimun A+ in the GA3 for this year will be. Do you think it'll be around the 79% or 85%. I dont know if you'll understand what i mean.

It's best to overestimate the % for a minimum A+ just to be safe, therefore 85% is a safe bet though unlikely.

honestly could be anything given the exam hasn't been sat next.
I'm pretty sure in the past 54/75 (separate unit 3 exams) has been a A+ cut off which is 72%
and others have been 96/110 which is ~88%
so a huge disparity

Hey guys I have a similar question. I go to a really competitive school so our sacs are quite hard compared to other schools and I haven't done as well as I hoped to in my SACS (average is around 77% or a little less). I don't know my rank but I'm guessing in the average. Do I have any chance of getting over 40 if I do well on the exam or am I just dreaming?

In a strong cohort the low sac average won't hurt you too much if your rank is decent enough getting an A+ on the exam may be enough to get a 40.
