Methods:

GA1= 93/100
GA2= 91/100
GA3= 145/160

GA2 would be out of 80, since the exam is out of 40?

if it was as hard as last year, you are looking at a 44-45 definitely, since the A+ cutoff for exam 2 was 123/160

GA2 would be out of 80, since the exam is out of 40?

80 x 2, since the exams are marked twice

GA2 is out of 80. GA3 is out of 160. In the post, GA2 was out of 100.

Whoopsie :D you are absolutely right haha. I read that as GA3 sorry! And when calculating the prediction, I just took the GA2 mark as a percentage

This is kind of confusing for us to predict because in methods unlike other subjects, Sacs combined are only counted as GA 1 whereas in other subjects unit 3 is GA 1 and unit 4 is GA 2. In methods GA 2 is Exam 1 which is out of 40 but the mark is doubled to out of 80 and in GA 3 Exam 2 which is out of 80 but doubled to out of 160.

Sorry about that haha, I thought GA3 was both exams combined

'Worst case scenario' -> 40-42
'Probable' -> 44-46

'Dream' -> 46-48

Wouldn't it be more like:

1. ~42
2. 46-47
3. 49-50

48/60 is the cutoff for a 40, and people on this forum have achieved a 50 with 57/60 in the past. Then again, the value of predicting study scores based upon expected exam and SAC results prior to actually beginning year 12 might be somewhat limited. I certainly wouldn't say that one can be certain of 40+ in every subject, especially before you have actually completed the exams. I'd be careful, Appleandbee, of becoming over-confident or complacent, there are thousands of students working very diligently to achieve a 40 or higher in all the subjects you listed. However, that is not to say you won't, just a reminder to, if you would excuse the cliché, perhaps hold off on counting your chickens so early in the VCE cycle, as Ned warned in his introductory post.

Yeah I guess so, they are just predictions though.

And yeah good advice about being too confident.

wholeheartedly agree with this guy here ^^

But also, when someone suggests that a worse case scenario is ~40, i'd be very inclined to believe that they belong to one of those families where a ~40 score is truly the start of a journey to living hell :( , where, for a lot of us, a ~40 score is a dream.

And in those situations, while hundreds of students are working hard for a ~40, there are also hundreds of like minded students working hard for a ~45 or a 50 :/, different perspectives, really :)
