I may or may not end up composing a poem - just not sure if it's worth it because my poetry is pretty horrible.  xD

I think that's more than enough, and perhaps a nice card would be good also ;). Just say nice stuff about them (they love it  :D)

a bluey silvery colour is nice for the box i think

overall: sometimes less is more... so dont get anything else!

poems are pretty damn cheesy. Unless you're at "that" point in the relationship I'd tread carefully. Also depends on the girl, some girls are suckers for cheesy shit.

It came gift wrapped in burgundy coloured paper - and a little white heart card
I wrote Happy Valentine's Day <3 (real heart haha)..
