Paper poppy worth more than jewels

    Good piece arguing that that poppies' perfunctory use by people on TV (not to mention the wearing of expensively crafted "jewel" poppies)  erodes their strong symbolic value.

who cares what people do. if they have the money let them do it i say. at least they are actually wearing a poppy

Loads of people wear crosses as an accessory and nobody complains about that
